The New York Jets (7-9) have been eliminated from playoff contention after suffering their own five-game losing streak late in the season. The Dolphins signed veteran Mike Glennon this week as well. Once considered a top playoff contender, Miami (8-8) has tumbled to the brink of elimination with five straight losses in December and January. The Bills are the first AFC team to reach double-digit wins. This wasn't the flashiest victory, but sometimes playing fundamentally sound ball without style points is what contenders need to do. That defense and how they attacked White ended up being a huge reason why Buffalo emerged from this matchup victorious. They put together some long drives, went 1-for-1 in the red zone and played aggressive defense. Still, the Bills were the better team here in Week 14. They had fewer first downs, were worse on third down, had fewer total yards and lost the time-of-possession battle. The Bills lost in several statistical categories on Sunday.
